Meet the Team

Tarnya Brink

Managing Director / HR Consultant

Tarnya started her journey into HR straight out of school in 1984. She started working as a typist and was lucky enough to be seated in the HR department and to be mentored.

She worked her way up to HR Director at age 24, whilst studying a graduate level HR qualification and doing a far better job of it than she did at school! Tarnya worked in food manufacturing, professional services and the careers sector where she became Deputy CEO before becoming an HR Consultant in 2015 where she has supported businesses across a vast range of sectors and of all sizes.  She is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (the professional home of HR).

Outside of work, her passions are her family, her cats and her motorcycle.

Debbie Sitford

HR Adviser

Debbie started her career as a Personal Assistant following the completion of the Private Secretary’s Certificate at college.

She developed an interest in HR during her role as Office Manager with a long term employer, which covered a variety of employee lifecycle tasks.  This led to her completing the CIPD Level 5 Diploma in HR Management. Following a redundancy, she started a new role as a HR Adviser with ColTarn Ltd in August 2020.

Debbie is very compliance and systems focussed, having also worked with H&S, Quality and Management systems. She enjoys the many challenges that come with working alongside an HR Consultant. She has also fulfilled interim HR roles at several clients during her time with Tarnya.

Away from work she loves to spend time with her family, in the garden and crafting when she has the time!

Samii Sharratt

HR Administrator

Samii started her career as a receptionist/administrator where she was managed by the HR department. Her hardworking attitude was recognised by her manager who offered her a chance to develop a career within HR, whilst also covering her duties within reception, health & safety and payroll.

Samii is a highly capable HR Administrator. She is a self-motivated and results driven individual with strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

When she is not working Samii likes to spend time with her family and friends, going on long walks in the country with her dog Roxy and going to the gym.

Duchess

Supervisor

Hi, I’m Duchess. You may have seen or heard me while my cat Mum Tarnya was trying to have an online meeting or was on a call. I don’t like to be ignored – I mean look at my name, of course I expect to be treated like royalty.

O’Malley

Supervisor

Hi, I’m Mr O’Malley – not quite the alley cat I was named after, as I prefer to lie on the bed in the sun most of the day and relax, but every now and then I deem it necessary to sit on my cat Mum Tarnya’s ipad when she is trying to write or to sit on her nice and warm laptop to make her stop working and fuss me.
